Modified Hilman 150-XOTL chain rollers with Accu-Roll guides bolted to their carrying frames are used to roll out these large concrete bridge spans. The spans were lifted at night with 2 crane and placed into the carrying frame which is bolted to our rollers. During day shift, concrete spans were rolled away from the existing bridge and then picked off and demolished onsite.
These rollers rolled very easily on their w-beams (they had them cribbed up level, clean, and straight). Thank you to Westbrook Engineering for the work they did as they spec’d in our 150-XOTL’s into the feasibility plan and final DOT plans for this project.
